Michelle & Connor – September 26, 2020

On a gorgeous autumn day in Bowmanville, Michelle and Connor said I DO and took the big leap into Marriage! Of course they had to work around all of the restrictions and rule but I think they did a terrific job of making their wedding meaningful and memorable!

Michelle’s parents have a beautiful property in the country so we all met there for their backyard wedding ceremony and some extra surprises!

As soon as I pulled in from the main road I saw our fun and festive bride and groom waiting to greet everyone as they arrived! Autumn is my favourite time of year for weddings, there are so many amazing ideas for décor even when your wedding is small and simple.

Look at all of those mature trees! Lots of shade available in case it gets too hot!

I love that the long driveway was lined with potted mums – the perfect autumn floral! They are affordable, come in a variety of colours, and last a long time! They are an easy way to give your backyard wedding a lush pop of colour!

The card/gift table and lots of photos of Michelle and Connor’s life together leading us to this day!

Suitcases always make the most adorable card boxes – check the craft and thrift stores for them and you can even paint them to match your wedding! Yes everyone’s favourite accessory made an appearance so we could sanitize any time we needed to!

Vows over Virus! These sweethearts put love first and didn’t let a silly little pandemic ruin their plans to get married!

My office for the afternoon! How gorgeous are those florals!! Want a closer look?

The other side! ProTip – if you can’t afford fresh flowers…opt for silk flowers! They last forever and you can always sell the arrangements later!

I love that the property has a pond! I’m told Michelle and Connor planned for some photos in the boat after their ceremony!

The signing table! You can never have too many pots of mums! Here we see a bright pink one peeking out for the photos!

After the ceremony we all went to watch all the video messages that had been sent to Michelle and Connor for their big day! Love was sent from all over the world!
