When Christina and Cody got in touch with me about their Gatsby themed wedding I could barely contain my excitement! With last year the kickoff to the Roaring 20s this was the perfect way to celebrate these 20s, and the 1920s!
The décor details were out of this world and I was blown away at their dedication to their wedding theme!
My office for the day! The colours and decorations too me back 100 years, a bit of a wedding time machine don’t you think? We included some beautiful readings from 1920s songs, poems, and novels to make their ceremony perfect match their wedding day!
Everywhere I looked there was more and more beauty and glam! I love how they used vintage bottles filled with florals and sparklies!
The aisle was lined with themed décor as well! These are the little details that people love!
The signing area! I love the vintage couch and chest for signing the marriage paperwork! We took so many great photos here!
Something I don’t see often is a guest book! It’s such a sweet idea and lets your guests leave you nice messages you can read over and over!
Wedding favours are still all the rage! I love that Christina and Cody has a variety of favours – something for everyone!
Every table was decorated perfectly! Lots of gold sparkles and vintage items…even their own custom wine labels!
It’s amazing what can be done with some thrift and craft store items to take a wedding from nice to…roaring! Start scouring the thrift shops as soon as they open for bottles and glasses!
How awesome is their photo booth area!? I love that they had a customized frame with photos of them as a prop for everyone’s photos!
Lots of props for the photos! Always check your thrift and vintage shops for fun photobooth items! Don’t forget the party stores to!
I loved the vintage bar bottles – so perfectly on brand for their Roaring 20s theme!
ProTip! When picking decor for your wedding, choose a couple of colours and stick with them throughout every element – getting ready, ceremony, cocktail hour, photos, dinner, and the dance. Christina and Cody did a great job keeping their gold and black art deco colours running through the entire day!
Even their cupcakes matched the theme! These sorts of things are so easy to do and bring continuity to your big day!
