Oh 2020….you really made us see what we are made of! Susie and Gary made lemonade and turned their garden into the cutest little wedding paradise! With their skills and talents they turned what might have been a lovely, yet dare we say ‘boring’ affair, into the sweetest wedding day that we all oohed and aahed over!
Their wedding even made it into the Toronto media when I saw a reporter looking for couples who had tiny weddings. I sent Susie the call out and sure enough, they were included in the story! Wahay!

How gorgeous is their ceremony backdrop? Hello…don’t we all need a flamingo at weddings?! Macramé is so on trend right now and this beautiful piece of art made the perfect ceremony arch!

Since we were only allowed 5 people total at the time, including myself and our photographer, we only needed 2 chairs – for Susie’s parents! I’ve never had a cat attend a wedding before so it was a treat to see this floofer on his leash being shown off for all the zoom guests!

Sound check time! I chatted with guests around the world while we waited for the big moment! Not the memorial at the bottom of the stand – so sweet!

Susie and Gary thought of everything – blue for weddings is always my favourite so this made the perfect little signing area for all of the paperwork!

With the ceremony complete it was time to pop the champagne with all of the zoom guests!
ProTip – if you are wearing heels and plan on being on grass – get a small carpet to stand on so you don’t spend your entire ceremony trying not to fall from your heels sinking!

Our photographer Kristy worked her magic and was capturing every single moment the entire day!

Kristy and I were handed glasses of champagne so we could toast the happy couple too!

Gary took some time to chat with his family about how he feels now that he’s married and their plans for the future!

Susie is a terrific baker and designs dessert tables – she made everything herself for their wedding!

How cute it their cake? It’s decorated with flowers from their own garden!

Yay for saying I Do! Thank you Susie and Gary for inviting me to write and perform your ceremony for you! I had a great time and wish you both all the best on your next adventures!
